The Role:

To develop and deliver new business opportunities, working with the customer services representatives; graphic design/sample making and manufacturing members in order to deliver folding carton solutions, which meet our customers’ aspirations. 

Duties:

  • Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with new customers that achieve assigned sales quotas and targets (this should be quantified against a calendar schedule)
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales (and in some cases through delivery and cash receipt as mentioned above)
  • Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking (this is often accompanied by an identification of the territory in which the AE will prospect)
  • Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers and sales
  • Consult with prospect about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and cost benefits of each.
  • Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects.
  • Make presentations to senior managers and decision makers
  • Draft and deliver proposals
  • Work with technical staff and product specialists where required to address customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis
  • Develop and maintain key account plans that identify opportunities for company to deliver value, strategic motivators, main stakeholders, buying processes and forecasted sales
  • Report on sales activity (include desired frequency – daily is ideal for accuracy)
  • Keep detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions (include frequency – daily is ideal for accuracy)
  • Provide forecasts on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods
  • Work with delivery teams to proactively address problems
  • Cultivate strong relationships with third party and partner companies that may be required to deliver full solutions to customers
  • Work with marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns
  • Provide feedback to sales management on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation
  • Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings
  • Identify sales support requirements and work with marketing to develop improve sales tools
  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace

Skills/Qualifications required: 

  • Knowledgeable and previous outside sales representative experience in folding carton manufacturing/industry necessary
  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Management/Marketing or equivalent
  • Demonstrated sales and business development training 
  • Computer skills including the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Computer literate able to use CRM 

Interpersonal skills:

  • Excellent communication skills essential, ability to give clear written and verbal instructions, clearly understand and explain technical and manufacturing issues to customers and have good understanding of procedures and processes.
  • Able to identify areas of weakness within processes and customer specific procedures and help find innovative solutions.
  • Highly responsible, reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic
  • Able to effectively prioritize and adapt to a varied and changeable workload

We are looking for an enthusiastic, team player who thrives on continuous improvement and pride in exceeding quality and customer expectations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Set up blanks in the machine, making all necessary adjustments for the boxes to run smoothly through the unit
  • Adjust for proper pressure to seal glue
  • Call Area Leader or Production Supervisor for job inspection and approval to run
  • Run machine
  • Keep constant check on quality and positioning
  • Report any quality problems to the area leader
  • Assist gluer support as required
  • Advise the gluing department assistant when make ready and run are started and ended to ensure accurate times is recorded in Imaginera System
  • Complete quality inspection samples
  • Keep area clean and neat and ensure machinery maintenance is up to date
  • Ensure all safety and personal protection equipment is in place and properly used
  • Sundry tasks as assigned by the Finishing Dept. Area Leader or Production Supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have proven 5 years minimum experience and strong skills in the Gluer Operator position
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to work a fast pace and handle multi-tasking
  • Strong visual, special and 3D reasoning
  • Keen interest in Quality Control Systems
  • Ability to interact with all departments and possess good interpersonal skills

This position is a Monday to Thursday 10 hours/day, 40 hour work week. Rotation of days 6 am to 4 pm and afternoons 4 pm to 2 am. Excellent compensation, benefits and pension plan. Many perks include paid wellness days, paid floaters, attractive afternoon shift premium.
