December 01, 2019…Ingersoll Paper Box is proud to announce they has achieved the rigorous standards required to obtain the globally recognized BRC certification for the food industry and its supply chain. Ingersoll Paper Box is the only folding carton converter in Ontario to hold this certification and one of only three in Canada.

The BRC (British Retail Consortium) Certification is an internationally recognized standard that sets out stringent requirements for the entire supply chain in the food industry, including the manufacturing of packaging materials used in food packaging and filling operations. The BRC worldwide designation sets the highest standards for the supply chain in the food industry and is recognized by the international Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).  The BRC Certification requires annual audits to assess risk management, safety and hygiene systems, as well as control of manufacturing processes and traceability. BRC standards are the most encompassing and demanding in management practices in food safety standards that prescribe quality, safety and operational criteria to ensure that manufacturers fulfill their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer.   The BRC Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials is designed to assist packaging manufacturers and converters to adopt good manufacturing practices and support quality management systems to develop and manufacture legal packaging materials therefore meeting customers quality requirements and instilling consumer confidence.

“BRC Certification is a testament to the continuous efforts of our management, quality and production teams. IPB produces packaging for every industry providing the highest quality possible by investing in new equipment, technology and staff and by obtaining relevant certifications such as BRC, GMI and ISO 9001. We are so proud to acquire our BRC Certification standard.” states Sarah Skinner, President of Ingersoll Paper Box, adding, “For almost 100 years IPB has focused on providing our customers with the highest quality possible and the BRC certification is one more way we demonstrate our ongoing commitment to quality and to our customers.”

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA, November 17, 2017 -Ingersoll Paper Box, is proud to be the recipient of the Excellence in Packaging Award from the 2017 North American Paperboard Packaging Council Awards competition.

Competition entries were judged by a panel of esteemed packaging experts from various disciplines throughout the North American industry.  Ingersoll Paper Box submitted a folded carton that was innovative in structural and graphic design, to ensure protection of product while achieving optimal attention on the retail shelf.  Our client Dillion’s Distillery, needed a package for a three bottle pack of its bitters ensuring the package isengaging, functional and also conveys the essence of their brand to customers.  Their main goals were brand awareness, and functionality (protection of the 3 glass bottles containing liquids). They also needed to be able to customize their product  with one box by offering different flavours of bottles to individual customers, restaurants, bars and in specialty food stores. Not only did the package have to brand the product it also had to be strong enough to be shipped to these audiences. Dillon’s also wanted to ensure their box was in keeping with their sustainability philosophy and practices.  That’s 8 factors IPB had to address in one box: Brand awareness, functionality, 3 different audiences, cost, shipping and sustainability. Ingersoll Paper Box was able to create a box that addressed all 8 factors.

The resulting package was an award winner serving as a solid shipping vehicle with a unique eye-catching structure/graphic design package for on-shelf marketing appeal. This packaging design structure is very successful in the protection of the 3 glass bottles containing liquid and engaging consumer interest through its unique design and graphics. Ingersoll Paper Box was happy to be able to create a box that meets the needs of their client Dillion’s and was an award winner.

INGERSOLL, Ontario. February 1 2017 - Ingersoll Paper Box is proud to announce they have raised a total of $4,389 through the sale of their Christmas Boxes for the 2017 Christmas season.  All the proceeds of the sales are donated to local charities including Ingersoll Lunch Bunch, Stitch Supper Club and St. Jude’s School. The boxes come in two sizes and eight designs and are sold in packs of 10 that also include gift tags. The Christmas Charity Boxes were launched three years ago as a fundraising initiative to support causes in the community as well as an environmental initiative to reduce Christmas packaging through annual reuse of the boxes.  The large amount of money raised through the boxes indicates how popular they are in the community.

This is the first year that Ingersoll Paper Box worked with St. Jude’s School in Ingersoll.  The grade eight students assembled the boxes and then sold them as a fundraiser for their end of year trip to Celtic, a 4 day sleep away camp.

“$4,389 is an very significant amount of money to donate back into our community. The support we receive from the community is wonderful,” states Ingersoll Paper Box President Sarah Skinner, adding, “We truly appreciate the people who purchase the boxes and the local businesses who help us sell them.”
